Alhaji Idris Abdulbakar, the emir of Okuta in the Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara, made the call at Okuta while inaugurating a community project executed by members of NYSC/FRSC club.

The emir said such gesture would encourage young Nigerians to put in their best during their service year.

The traditional ruler condemned any form of hostility towards corps members, saying perpetrators of ugly acts against NYSC members were enemies of Nigeria's unity.

The emir described the road demarcation and signpost erected by them as a landmark achievement. 

The commander, Baruten-Kaiama unit of the FRSC, Mr David Joseph, expressed optimism that the road demarcation would, in no small measure, complement the unit's road safety campaign.

Earlier, Mr Obute Herbert,  the cadet-in-chief of the NYSC/FRSC club Baruten-Kaiama unit command, said the project was the unit's contribution to efforts to reduce traffic congestion and accidents.

He called on their colleagues in other states to execute meaningful projects that would aid the growth of their host communities.
