17 police officers detained, facing trial for misconduct in Kwara

The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has revealed that 17 officers of the command are currently in detention and going through orderly room trial for misconduct.

The CP said he has been emphasising on the need for police officers to shun corruption and be committed to selfless service, adding that was the only way to inspire public confidence and provide the basis for public support.

Speaking during a press briefing in Ilorin, the state capital, Egbetokun said the command will give award of commendation to officers who stand out in the discharge of their duties.
