Ilorin East LG Elders' Forum Rallies Support for Ahmed

Date: 2012-09-20

The Akanbi District Elders Forum of Ilorin East Local Government Area, Kwara State has lauded the achievements of Governor AbdulFatah Ahmed, describing them as people-oriented.

The forum also gave Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki commendation for his leadership style, saying the immediate past governor has been transparent, focused and visionary.

The elders' body appreciated the governor for promoting love, peace and unity in the state because they are prerequisites for growth and development of the state.

"Kwara is State of Harmony and the governor has been doing all within his power to ensure the state maintain the status," the statement signed by the forum's Chairman, Alhaji Atanda Jimoh Kulende indicated.

The elders' body also praised the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari and the Waziri of Ilorin, Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki for their fatherly role in the development of the state.

They then reaffirmed their commitment to peace and development of the state, just as they enjoined all political office holders and party supporters to be worthy ambassadors of the state.
