Date: 2018-10-15

Hon. Saheed Damilare Alatise, a PDP aspirant for the State House of Assembly in Irepodun Local Government Area in the last primary election has pledged his readiness to work and ensure the party's victory in the 2019 general elections.

Alatise, who made the pledge in a statement in Omu-Aran, said he was overwhelmed by the show of support, love and affection extended to him over his political ambition.

He said the experience garnered during the primary election had equipped him more politically and rekindled his long time desire to contribute to the development of the community and the state at large.

Alatise while congratulating the winner of the council assembly slot, said he was ready with his teeming supporters to channel resources toward ensuring that the party come out victorious in the coming elections.

The House of Assembly aspirant who noted that in any contest somebody must emerge as the winner, opined that the interest of the party supersedes other personal ambition.

"Our is not do or die affairs, we are one big family.

"In any competition or contest there must be a winner but we must embrace the spirit of togetherness.

"We should always have it at the back of our minds that party interest is far above any personal ambition or gains," Alatise said.

He urged party followers, especially members of his forum and supporters to remain dedicated and steadfast in upholding the party's principles and ideas.

Alatise praised the exemplary leadership style of the party leaders in the state, particularly the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki and Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed.

He also thanked the party leaders in the council for the opportunity given to him to express his interest through the primary and promised to reciprocate the gesture by being a dedicated and loyal member.

"I want to use this opportunity to appreciate our party leaders and elders including my teeming followers for their unalloyed support.

"We are optimistic of a brighter future ahead of us," he said.
