The recently inaugurated Department of Planning, Research and Statistics at the Local Government Service Commission under the Chairmanship of Hajia Sarat Ibrahim Adebayo on 10th August, 2018 held a training workshop for the 16 HOD of the department across the Local Government Areas in Kwara State.

The workshop, which was declared opened by the Chairman herself, Hajia Sarat Adebayo, took place at the Conference Hall, LG Service Commission, Ilorin

The training of the HOD was geared towards statistics and data collection for the LG data bank to enhance effectiveness and accuracy in the commission.

Hajia Sarat, while declaring the workshop open, commended the Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed for the opportunity given to train and retrain the LG staffers for effective and efficient service delivery to further strengthen the Policy Trust of the Maigida led administration in Kwara State.

She urged the LG staff to take good advantage of the various window of opportunities of the several training, workshops and seminars provided by the Commission to improve their skills and knowledge for the development of the State.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary Local Government Service Commission, Jubril Alhaji Baba Harun, commended the Chairman, Hajia Sarat for her spirit of development in taking the Commission and the staff to a greater hight. He charged the beneficiaries of the training to be attentive and ready to grab every information from the resource persons during the course of the workshop.

All the Heads of Department, Planning, Research and Statistics couldn't hide their joy as they promised to justify the convidence the Commission has in them for the effective service delivery towards the development of the State and their various Local Government Areas in particular.
