Ex-Kwara PDP members renounce membership

Scores of former members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), yesterday, officially renounced their membership of the party in Kwara State.

The politicians subsequently announced their defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The ex-PDP members from the 12 wards of Ilorin West Local Government Area of the state publicly tore their PDP membership cards and burnt same in the presence of APC chieftains in the state.

Announcing their defection in Ilorin, the state capital, the former chairman of PDP in Ilorin West Local Government Area, Sulaiman Abubakar, said they had officially moved to the APC under the leadership of "vibrant, brilliant and no-nonsense national charman of our party Comrade Adams Oshiomhole."

Receiving the defectors, the APC caretaker committee chairman, Bashir Bolarinwa, urged the people to do the needful by disgracing Senate President Bukola Saraki in the 2019 general elections in the state.
