APC chieftain in Oke Ero charges religious leaders to pray for peace in Nigeria

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oke Ero local government area of Kwara State, Engineer Bankole Dare has appealed to Nigerian clerics particularly the Islamic scholars to use this period on Ramadan fast to pray fervently for peace to continue to reign supreme in the state and the nation at large.

Engineer Bankole while felicitating with Muslims on the Ramadan festival commended the peaceful relationship existing between Muslims and Christians in the state and called for sustenance of such cordial ties.

He condemned acts of wanton killings and destruction of properties in some parts of the country which he described as barbaric and called for a stop to such unGodly altitudes.

The APC chieftain praised the Senate President, Doctor Bukola Saraki and the state governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed for embarking on various developmental projects and enjoined the people of the state to continue to support the government and shun all acts of anti-party politics being displayed by some members of the party in the state.

Engineer Bankole criticized the way at which issues are being politicized in form of political vendetta in the country and urged the executive, the legislative and the judiciary as well as the security agencies to allow the law to take its rightful cause without fear or favor.

He commended members of the APC in the state for conducting a free and fair state congress adding that the consensus arrangements put in place by the leadership of the party in the state has helped tremendously in ensuring relative peace and solicited for support for all state officers that emerged during today's congress.

Engineer Bankole applauded the people of Oke Ero for displaying absolute loyalty to the government and leadership of the party in the state and urged them to continue in this direction assuring them that the benefits and reward of democracy would not elude them.
