On aircraft movement, he said that no fewer than 170 aircraft landed at the airport in a month, while the airport recorded the highest figure of 260 in August 2017. AbdulAzeez attributed the achievements recorded to the upgrading of facilities at the airport.

He said that more airlines had signified interest to operate from the airport to convey passengers traveling to the northern and eastern parts of the country.
