Oba Iranloye stressed further, "We, Agbonda, are on record, that we belong to the terrain of first class obas in the state, dated back as far as 17th and18th century. It is not a generation of nowadays. This is purely a historical setting of a particular settlement."
The traditional ruler said further, "Under my jurisdiction, I have about 28 communities which I govern upon.
So, my control is not to contain me in a small area. I need to be recognised by the state government and return me to the place that I belong to for God sake".
The Alapa traced the hierarchical position to the ages and said, "After Olupo of Ajase-Ipo come Alapa which is my forefathers, but now, I have been sidelined to the basis. I appeal to the state government to please, look into my plight and find a lasting solution to my problem in this regard."
While appreciating the presence of the royal fathers present, the royal father said, "I really want to thank God, in fact I appreciate all and sundry for joining me in making my fifth year coronation anniversary a successful one".
In the same vein, the Government Liaison Officer for Ekiti Local Government, Honourable, Olusola Adedayo, who was one of the merit awardees said, "things would surely work in the right direction because, our Kabiyesi, Alapa, and the people of Agbonda community supported the ruling state government to the core."
Adedayo believed that his award was purely based on his activities in the commodity and promised to do more in uplifting the status of the ancient community.
Among those that were given awards was Dr Gboyega Oyewusi, Medical Officer at Patigi General Hospital and Coordinator of HIV-AIDS, Ministry of Health, Kwara State.
