Kwara Hotel for renovation January

The Manager, Kwara Hotels Limited, Hajia Afusat Funmilayo Abubakar has disclosed that the comprehensive renovation of the Kwara Hotel will begin in January, 2018.

Speaking during a chat with Pilot Business in her office recently, she said short and long term intervention has begun at the state owned hospitality outfit.

Abubakar added that there would be a total overhaul of the hotel towards making it a five star and major source of revenue generation for the state.

The manager said the hotel since 2012, netted profit this year despite economic downturn, adding that it has 172 rooms and over 86 staff, stating that the management is determined to change its fortunes.

On the challenges faced, she said poor power supply is a major problem, adding that the hotel use as much as three to four thousand litres of diesels per month and paying an average of N4 million monthly as electricity bill.
