LG Polls: Kwara APC urges large turnout

Date: 2017-11-17

Ahead of Saturday's local government elections in Kwara State, the All Progressives Congress has urged residents and all eligible voters to come out en masse and cast their votes for the APC.

This was contained in a press statement issued by the party's publicity secretary, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari in Ilorin on Friday.

As a party, we are delighted to note the reassurance coming from His Excellency, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed. The government under his able leadership has reassured residents of their safety before, during and after the election.

Therefore, we urge voters to be peaceful in their conduct and exercise their franchise in a peaceful and orderly manner.

Finally, we wish to call on the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWASIEC) to ensure the election is fair and credible election. Particularly, the commission is urged to ensure early distribution of voting materials.
