Local Government Poll: Afon Constituency to Vote massively for APC

Stakeholders of All Progressives Congress(APC) in Afon Constituency of Asa Local Government have resolved to work together and ensure that the Party garnered overwhelming votes in the forthcoming Local Government Election in the area.

The resolution followed the Constituency meeting initiated by a member representing Afon Constituency, Hon Mohammed Mobolaji Amosa at Afon, headquarters of Asa Local Government Area.

Speaking at the meeting attended by most party faithfuls in the area, Hon. Amosa who praised the hierarchy of the Party in the State, for zoning the chairmanship position to the Constituency, said the peace meeting became imperative, to enable the party reenact massive vote which the Constituency was noted for in general elections.

Hon. Amosa enumerated the achievements of the party, in the area, and praised the Senate President and other stakeholders for the on going construction of Afon-Aboto-Oyo State boundary road project, by the federal Government and other on going projects in the area.

In their separate remarks, the former Chairmen of Asa Local Government Council, Dr Muftau Yahaya, Chief David Akinola, former Chairmen of the State Scholarship Board Alh. Saadu Ajelanwa, Hon Isiaka Mogaji, Commissioner 3 in the State Civil Service Commission Alh. Isiaka Labaeka praised the hierarchy of the Party in the state, as well as the state government for the numerous on going and completed projects in the areas of road, water, street lights, rural roads and enjoined the people of Afon Constituency to reciprocate by voting massively for the APC in the November's council polls in the state.

They described the lawmaker as a worthy ambassador, who is genuinely committed towards the wellbeing and progress of his Constituency, and enjoined other political office holders to imbibe his sterling qualities to further make democracy more responsive to the demands of the electorate.

Also speaking, the APC chairmanship candidate in the Local Government Hajia Risikat Opakunle, while speaking on behalf of other contestants promised to be more responsive to the yearnings and aspirations of the people, if elected, in the forthcoming Local Government election.

Earlier the Vice Chairman of the Party in the Local Government Area, Alhaji Safi Isiaka, noted that the Constituency had benefitted tremendously from the ruling Party and enjoined the people of the area, to reciprocate the gesture, by voting massively for the party in the election.
