The race to the final of the Etisalat U15 School Cup starts on Friday, as the boys from Asegun Comprehensive High school battle Socrates Secondary school boys in the second semi-final of the tourney in Lagos.

The Oyo representatives progressed to the last four phase of the tournament with 9 points, after narrowly edging out dogged New Layout Secondary School 1-0 in their opening day fixture at the national finals in Lagos on Tuesday.

Asegun were on break on day two as their opponent, West Itam Secondary School, Akwa Ibom failed to show up- and they were awarded three goals and three points, while they defeated their group's weeping boys from General Hassan Usman Katsina Unity College, Bauchi 5-0 in their last group game to finish tops of Group A with maximum nine points.

Socrates Secondary school on the other side, finished as runners-up in Group B, following their failure to hold on to their one goal lead against Fosla Academy, Abuja on match day three.

The Ilorin representatives kicked off their campaign in Lagos on Tuesday with a bang- coming from two goals down to thrash Niger College Edo 3-2, despite playing with one man down and no bench. Winner of this game will face either Fosla Academy, Abuja or New Layout Secondary, Enugu in the final.
