Outgoing Administrator of the Kwara Football Academy (KFA), Mr. Mutiu Adepoju has revealed that the academy has been accredited to conduct West Africa Examination Council (WAEC).

Adepoju, whose tenure expired at the academy recently, said the school is one of its kind in Nigeria.

Adepoju, who spoke to reporters at the Academy's premises in Ilorin, said: "I am happy to serve at the academy and one of the success I recorded as the administrator was getting of accreditation for the students to write the West African Examination Council (WAEC) Senior Secondary Exam at the academy.

"Prior to now the exams were written at other schools but now we have been accredited. We have also secured for the junior secondary and they are expected to write at the academy from this year, while we also won the State league and FA cup."

Describing the academy as second to none in the country, in terms of facilities, Adepoju said, "the players are good and unlike other academies that rent pitches to play, we have excellent pitches here and hostels".
