While addressing a press conference on Wednesday at the conference room of the academy, Adepoju, a member of the Nigeria Football Federation Technical Committee, said he did his best while in charge of the academy within the limit of the resources available.

The outgoing Administrator of Kwara Football Academy, Mutiu Adepoju, has advised the managers of the football training school to upgrade some of the facilities in the Academy and also make adequate provision for the players to participate in tournaments, especially international competitions, where they will be noticed.

While addressing a press conference on Wednesday at the conference room of the academy, Adepoju, a member of the Nigeria Football Federation Technical Committee, said he did his best while in charge of the academy within the limit of the resources available.

Adepoju served for two years. Adepoju's two years contract expired last month. The contract was not renewed as the managers of the school, Harmony Holding, according to the Acting Administrator, Kunle Ayantola, "is charting a new course and direction".

According to Adepoju: "I am happy for the opportunity given me to serve. "I tried my best while in charge and I did not fail anybody. "I thank the state government, Harmony Holding, the Board of the institution and all those that worked with me for their support.

"I have no regret at all, leaving at this time. "I have come to improve and add value to the academy and my achievements are there for all to see, despite the challenges."

Adepoju said the Kwara Football Academy remains the best in this part of the world in terms of the facilities and the opportunities open to the institution.
