Kwara United task players to justify huge investment by winning a continental ticket
Kwara United players have been tasked to justify the huge investment of Kwara State government on the darling team of the state by putting up scintillating performances and step up their games in the remaining matches in the league.
The newly appointed management board led by Barrister Bamidele Aluko urged the players to improve their performance when members met with them shortly after paying the 100 per cent sign-on fees for the current league season.
Barrister Aluko sounded that the teeming followers and supporters of the club cannot afford to sit at the edge of their seats anytime Kwara United is playing.
The chairman noted that the result of every match is basis for assessing the performances of the players, hence the need to win their remaining matches.
He said the new board would give preference to their welfare with prompt attention to their needs to ensure there is no distraction in the team.
The captain of the team, Segun Atere thanked the management board for their concern and feelings for the players.
Segun Atere who praised Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed for prompt payment of this season's sign-on fees assured that the players will improve their performances in the remaining matches in the season.
Other board members that accompanied the chairman include AbdulGaniyu Abdulkadir, Tajudeen Gidado and Seyi Idowu.
