Gov Ahmed's devt. drive paid off, says Rep
A member representing Ilorin West/Asa in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon Moshood Mustapha has commended the Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed for the pace of developmental projects in the last one year of his administration.
The lawmaker singled out the completion and commissioning of the Judges Quarters and State Aviation College inherited from the last administration.
This was contained in a statement jointly signed by Senior Legislative Aide and Legislative Assistant to the lawmaker, Alhaji Igbayilola Akande and Alhaji Jimoh Funsho, respectively.
The statement said the lawmaker urged people in the state to support the present administration in its bid to bring dividends of democracy to the citizenry.
Mustapha, who is also the Vice-Chairman, House Committee on Petroleum Upstream also praised the leadership role of Senator Bukola Saraki, in the governance of the state.
According to the statement, "the lawmaker assured that all the representatives at the National Assembly shall continue to embark on programmes that will not only impact on the lives of our people, but also complimenting the state achievement."
It said, "Hon Mustapha commended the understanding and cooperation between the state executive and the legislative arms of government, which enhanced the social economic and political development of the state."
In another development, the statement said Mustapha has promised that he would leave no stone unturned to bring about improvement in the lives of the people in the state.
It said the legislator spoke when he received Women Group led by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) State Women Leader, Alhaja Muslimat Ibrahim, who paid him a courtesy visit.
According to the statement, the group commended the lawmaker on embarking on people-oriented programmes in his constituency, sponsoring party faithful on Umrah and Hajj, distribution of Ramadan gifts, rams and cash during festivals, financial assistance to students of higher institutions as well as generating employment for the youths in the state.
Besides, projects embarked upon by the lawmaker for the benefits of the people in his constituency and the state at large are; sinking of motorise boreholes, hand pump boreholes, transformers, construction of classrooms for Arabic School, street light, erosion control and construction of water irrigation services.
"On employment creation, Hon Mustapha would not relent in his effort to ensure that more youths are gainfully employed and he would make that everybody continue to enjoy impact of his representation accordingly," the statement assured
