Unilorin Pays Attention to Quality Research
The authorities of the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, have said they would pay keen attention to research infrastructure, with a view to enhancing economic growth.
The university also said it would discourage any attempt by any group or individual to disrupt her academic calendars henceforth. The Deputy Director, Corporate Affairs of the University, Mr. Kunle Akogun, stated this on Monday when he received a delegation from the Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero (KSUSTA), who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
The visiting team was led by the Head of the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry of the University, Dr. Haruna Yusuf, Staff Adviser, Mrs. Misitura Lawal and SIWES coordinator, Mr. Cosmas Elinge, with over 40 students who were on a-three day excursion to Kwara State.
Akogun assured the team that the university paid more attention to quality because the ability of the country to attain development was determined by the promotion of world-class research. He said the management ensured that all academic programmes were run smoothly without interruption.
