Kwara Gov. urges Muslims, Christians on good conduct

The Kwara State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed, has urged Nigerians particularly people of both major faith of the country to be brothers' keepers, the action which he described as both prophet Muhammad and Jesus Christ culture needed towards a new Nigeria of religious stability and economic prosperity.

Dr Ahmed in his Mauled Nabiyy and Christmas messages issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba, said Nigeria should always walk the part of humility, moderation, self denial and brotherliness, of which are the hallmarks of the teachings of both religions.

The state governor, who also emphasized on usage of the seasons as a time to show love and affection, especially to the needy, said Nigerians should be prepared to make sacrifices in this trying times in the economic history of our nation to make Nigeria better for all.

He commended Christian and Muslim leaders in the state for promoting religious harmony and encouraged both spiritual heads not to relent in their effort in building a better society.

The Governor assured the people of the State that his administration remains committed to the well being of all and the delivery of the dividends of democracy.
