The Emir of Ilorin ,Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari has been described as a labour friendly traditional ruler.

The General-Secretary of the National Union of Textile Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria ,Comrade Isa Aremu made this remark in a statement congratulating the emir on his twenty years anniversary on throne. Comrade Aremu disclosed that the Emir of Ilorin had remained a consistent advocate for the revival of the Nigerian textile industry and creation of mass decent employment.

The General -Secretary of the union also recalled the emirs participation in the textile unions capacity development workshop held in 2013 in Ilorin where the emir was well represented.

Comrade Aremu commended Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari for promoting the spirit of tolerance and peaceful coexistence within the Emirate and the entire nation. The General-Secretary who is also the Chairman, Industrial Global Union ,Africa Union members executive council of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) assured the emir of the support of their entire members and prayed God to grant the traditional ruler good health and sound judgement towards a greater peace, development and prosperity for all.
