Tribunal Affirms Saraki's Election in Kwara
The national assembly election petition tribunal sitting in Ilorin, Kwara state capital Tuesday affirmed the election of March 8 that produced the All Progressives Congress (APC) Kwara central senatorial candidate in the election, Senator Bukola Saraki.
The three-man panel led by Justice, Josiah Majebi in his two hours ruling dismissed the petition filed by the Peoples Democractic Party(PDP) candidate in the election, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq for lack of merit, competence and substance.
The chairman said that, the petitioner failed to proof his case that the last March 8 election that produced the respondent, Senator Saraki was characterised by electoral malpractices that could warrant the dismissal of that election.
