Press Release: Kwara PDP, a security threat - APC
In a statement issued by the State Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sulyman Buhuri, the party said the greatest security threat to the prevaling peace in Kwara State is the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The APC noted that barely two days that the leadership of the PDP threatened "spiral violent activities", there is security reports that certain individuals have been mobilised with the intention of unlawfully disrupting the independence day celebration.
The party said it is not a mere coincidence and urged security agencies to start investigation from within the PDP fold.
The party commended the Kwara State Government on the wise decision to cancel the event, saying, indeed, public safety is more paramount.
