Bullet donates boxing equipment to YSFON

Date: 2015-09-29

The Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria, YSFON, has announced it will take delivery of over 2,000 pieces of boxing equipment courtesy Bullet Energy Drink. Public Relations Officer of the Grassroots Nigerian Boxing League, Tayo Afolabi, has said that the handing over would be in two batches. The equipment, she said, would be distributed across all the states in the country.

"Bullet Energy Drink are the donnors of the equipment and fund. This is because of their determination to bring back the glory days of boxing to Nigeria. The first part of the handover has taken place while the next will hold in four weeks' time. The first beneficiaries are Ondo, Osun, Kwara, Kogi, Abia, Oyo, Ekiti and Ogun states. We will also unveil our partnership deal with them (Bullet Energy Drink)," she stated.

The GNBL season will begin in the first quarter of 2016 with 17 states, and the participating states will receive N1m worth of boxing equipment and monthly salaries for the boxers. Afolabi stated that YSFON will organise the league in the 36 states.
