Leader meets underdog in Glo Premiership race

The Glo Premiership campaign resumes on Wednesday with the new log leaders Sunshine Stars eager to maintain their position atop the standings. The side has a seemingly easy task with a fixture against relegation-threatened Dolphins in a tie scheduled for the Liberation Stadium in Port Harcourt.

The game is among the five midweek matches in the offering. Stars are bubbling with confidence following their 4-0 demolition of Giwa FC on Sunday.

On the other hand, Dolphins' woes continued with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Warri Wolves. Dolphins are placed 18th on the 20-team league log.

Elsewhere across the country, Bayelsa United, who will be away to bottom of the table Taraba in another top-versus-bottom affair. Defending champions Enyimba are second on the log.

Other matches involve El-Kanemi Warriors against Warri Wolves, Wikki Tourists hosting Abia Warriors while Heartland entertain Kwara United to round up the Wednesday ties.

All matches kick at 17:00hrs.
