Lobi Stars forward, Abdulrahman Bashir, believes Sunday's road trip at Kwara United presents an opportunity for him to continue his goalscoring record against the Ilorin side.

The native of Ilorin started his career with defunct Bukola Babes (now ABS) and helped the team to the top flight during the 2010/11 season.

Interestingly, he also has a goalscoring record against Kwara United.

Bashir left ABS a club legend after scoring in all divisions for the club and switched to Enyimba in 2014 when the Ilorin side lost their top flight status.

"The match in Ilorin is special for many reasons and I want to maintain my goalscoring record against Kwara United. As a professional my job is to score for Lobi Stars and that will be my objective on match day.

"Moreover, it's a return to familiar ground for me," he said to supersport.com.

In three seasons in the top flight with his former team, Bashir scored in consecutive seasons against Kwara United and did not lose any to their older neighbours.

Bashir will come against some of his former teammates at ABS during Sunday's clash.

Since joining Lobi from Enyimba, Bashir has scored one goal against Heartland and created an assist in four matches.
