Kwara State Government earmarks N1.5billion for rural electrification project
Similarly, the State Government also unveiled plans to allot the housing units at Harmony Estate, Akerebiata, Ilorin to beneficiaries by the end of this month.
The State Governor, Dr Bukola Saraki disclosed the cheering news at the weekend while speaking with newsmen at an interactive session with a cross-section of politicians and party supporters across the state at Charity Home along Iloffa road, GRA, Ilorin.
Governor Saraki, who said 85 new transformers had been procured by the State Government to further boost electricity supply in all parts of the State, assured that his administration would not relent in its efforts at making life more meaningful for the entire people of the State.
Speaking on the State of security of lives and property, he explained that 12 Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Cameras had already been installed in strategic locations in the State Capital, adding that more cameras would still be installed in Ilorin and every parts of the State.
While thanking the politicians for their support in the last six years, he promised to continue to make them happy so as to make the party wax stronger in the State.
Dr Saraki also advised party members to remain committed to the ideals of the present administration and the party, noting that individuals would henceforth be rewarded based on their contributions to the development of the party.
Earlier, the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji AbdulGaniyu Cook Olododo had enumerated the achievements of the present administration in all the sectors of the economy and solicited the support of party members to move the state forward and enhance the delivery of more democratic dividends.
Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Economic Planning, Mr Demola Banu disclosed that nine boreholes would be sunk in each Local Government Council, pointing out that work would begin on them by next week.
He disclosed further that approval had been sought for nine pit latrines to be dug in each council area as well as provision of more healthcare centres to further boost healthcare delivery services at the grassroots.
