Kwara raises inauguration panel
The Inauguration Committee for the second term swearing-in ceremony of Kwara State Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed has announced weeklong activities for programme.
Briefing reporters in Ilorin, Chairman of the 21-member Committee, Alhaji Kola Yusuf said the ceremony would be low-keyed, citing general paucity of funds across the country.
He attributed the victory of the Governor at the April 11 polls to his achievements during his (the governor's) first term in office. Yusuf listed the feats to include alleged completion of all the inherited and abandoned projects by his predecessors.
Besides, he said the governor initiated his own projects, which he claimed to have been satisfactorily executed.
Yusuf said Ahmed recorded significant achievements in the fields of Education, Health, Power, Agriculture, Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship adding that under the governor, Kwara emerged as an industrial hub of the North Central State.
