We're in the mood to shock you...Kwara Utd warn Abia Warriors

Date: 2015-05-09

Kwara United head coach,Tunde Abdulrahman has said his players were in the mood to shock Abia Warriors when both Glo Premier league sides clash tomorrow in Umuahia. The Afonja Warriors, as the Kwara-based outfit are called by their teeming fans, will be travelling to play Abia Warriors at the Umuahia Township stadium, with coach Abdulrahman boasting that he was banking on their good away form to outwit their hosts.

Noting that his players are in top-top shape for this week eight encounter, Coach Abdulrahman said that there was nothing that their opponents can do to stop them from running away with maximum points. "I'm more confident about the ability of my boys of getting the three points against Abia Warriors in Umuahia.

This confidence is real and based on the fact that we are getting better game by game. "I hope we can prove we are now better than at the beginning of the season in the game at Abia Warriors in Umuahia on Sunday", added Coach Abdulrahman, who is also banking on his side's away form to tear Abia Warriors apart.

"We have advantage on the road because we have played three and only lost once in Ibadan against 3SC. We want to do very well in the league and one way to do that is to consolidate on the recent gains by beating Abia Warriors:", said the former Wikki Tourists coach.

Kwara United recorded back to back victories at home against Nasarawa United and Kano Pillars in match day week 6 and 7 clashes respectively.

The llorin-based side have scooped 11 points from a possible 21 in the seven-week old Nigerian top flight. They travel to Enugu from Umuahia to play Akwa Starlets in the Federation Cup round of 32 matches scheduled for May 13.
