Press Release: APC congratulates Gov. Ahmed, Hails Kwarans

Date: 2015-04-13

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Kwara State chapter has congratulated Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed for his re-election victory at the just concluded governorship election in the state while hailing the the people of Kwara State for their peaceful and orderly conduct throughout the electoral process.

In a statement issued in Ilorin on Wednesday by its Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, the party said Governor Ahmed's victory is ?neither by fluke nor good luck but the result of his hardwork, diligence and performance in office.

"We congratulate Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed on his re-election victory at the just concluded governorship election.

"We salute the foresight and doggedness of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and we must emphasise that unfolding events in Nigeria and in Kwara State have shown that his decision to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) was the best decision he could have taken given the circumstances of those times.

"It was not an easy ride or walk over to victory as some people would say and this victory is neither by fluke nor Goodluck but the result of Mr Governor's hardwork, diligence and performance in office.

"Exactly two weeks ago, we said, "For Kwara State and her people to benefit maximally from the incoming progressive ?federal government-led by Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, we urge the people of Kwara State to come out en masse on the 11th of April to vote massively in unison to re-elect Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and elect all state House of Assembly candidates of the APC".

"We are indeed delighted that Kwarans have hearkened to the voice of wisdom.

"We assure the good people of Kwara State that their welfare, security, job creation for unemployed youths and quality education for students will continue to be the priorities of the APC-led government in Kwara State", the statement read
