An unidentified middle-aged man was at the weekend crushed to death by a commercial motorcycle operator along Ajase-Ipo road, Ilorin, Kwara State.

According to an eyewitness who did not want his name in print, the incident occurred around 9:30am on the ill-fated day.

He said that the victim was suspected to have been drunk to stupor and while attempting to cross the road, he was hit by the Okada operator.

he victim, according to a source, was immediately rushed to the state civil service clinic, Ilorin, by officers of A division police state, where he was confirmed dead.

At the time of filing this report, it was gathered that the Okada man was also admitted at the same hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment while his motorcycle was reportedly impounded at the A division police in the state.

Speaking with newsmen on the incident, a trader in the area who also craved anonymity, said it was a usual habit of the deceased to get drunk.

The source said, "no one knows where he comes from and he has no means of identification."
