Presidential primary would deepen unity in APC- Saraki

Date: 2014-12-05

Former Governor of Kwara State, Senator Bukola Saraki has assured that the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scheduled for next week would further deepen the unity of the party.

Saraki said it is gratifying that all the five presidential aspirants had signed undertaking to support any candidate who emerges at the election. This, according to him, would disappoint those who anticipate the disintegration of the party after the primary.

The APC aspirants including Former Head of State, General Mohammadu Buhari, former Vice-President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Chairman of Leadership Newspaper, Chief Sam Nda Isaiah, Governors Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano) and Rochas Okorocha of Imo state were on Wednesday cleared to contest the primary even as they all signed undertaking to accept the outcome of the election.

Speaking with newsmen in Ilorin during the APC governorship primaries where Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed was elected as the sole candidate, Saraki expressed confidence that the forthcoming presidential primary would produce a good and acceptable outcome.
