Senator Gbemisola Rukayyah Saraki, daughter of a renowned Kwara politician, Dr. Olusola Saraki, has given scholarship to eight law graduates to attend the law school courtesy of their friendship with the senator on social media.

The beneficiaries received the sum of N350, 000 each, covering their Law School fees and upkeep allowance.

Daily Trust gathered that the beneficiaries were indigent students who interacted with Gbemi on the social media through which they sent her text message, requesting for assistance to attend law school.

Presenting the scholarship to the beneficiaries that cut across the three senatorial districts of the state, Senator Saraki said the gesture was a reflection of her passion for education.

She said having enjoyed the best of education, it was incumbent on her to assist the less privileged to also acquire education and aspire to greatness. Speaking through one of her aides, Mrs. Tawa Yusuf, Senator Saraki urged the beneficiaries to strive for excellence in Law School.

One of the beneficiaries, Gabriel Ayeni from Ekiti Local Government Area, said the Senator has "made what appeared an impossibility possible in our life."
