Flood In Ilorin Render Many Homeless

Recent reports reveal that many families lost their homes during the early hours of Friday, following flood that wreaked havoc at the Aduralere area of Ilorin.

The flood resulted from a heavy down pour which lasted for many hours.

Speaking on the incident, the Special Adviser to Gov Abdulfatah Ahmed on Emergency and Relief, Alhaji AbdulAzeez Ibrahim, said the havoc caused by the flood was devastating.

Ibrahim told the News Agency of Nigeria in llorin on Friday that the state government will provide immediate succour to all the affected victims.

Some of the victims including children, who spoke with NAN said they were taking refuge in Churches, Mosques and with neighbours who were not seriously affected.

They called on the state government to come to their aid, saying that life had been very difficult since the flood rendered them homeless.
