Ex-Kwara United star Anjorin dies after head collision
Former Kwara United player Jimoh Anjorin has died after a head collision during a match involving ex-stars in Lagos. He was rushed to a nearby hospital after the accident and later confirmed dead. He has since been buried in Ilorin according to Islamic rites.
The general manager of Kwara United, Haruna Maigidasanma, described the death of the late Super Eagles midfielder as a rude shock.
He said the team will observe a minute's silence in their next game against Wikki Tourists of Bauchi on Saturday in Ilorin.
The players will also wear black armbands to honour of the late midfielder as it was done in honour of a former Chairman of the club, Ayo Bello, against Jigawa Golden Stars.
Jimoh Anjorin featured for Kwara Bombers, Kwara United, Nitel, 3SC and Gombe United.
