Letters - Kaiama: FG, Kwara Govt, Save Our Soul!

Date: 2014-07-05

I wish to cry out to the Federal government and the Kwara State government to please as a matter of urgency come to our rescue as Kaiama is presently cut off from the rest of the world following the collapse of a bridge along Kaiama-Kainji road.

It is no longer news that all the roads that leads to Kaiama are in total state of disrepair. It is equally not a news that none of the roads got any attention from either the Federal government or the Kwara state government, save for Kaiama-Kisi road that has continued to enjoy empty promises from the state government.

While Kaiama-Kisi road continues to remain a death trap, Kaiama-Kainji road is now a high way to the grave.Needless to mention kaiama-kosubosu road that is practically non existence.

With the present position of these roads, Kaiama is in the middle of no where to say the least. Is Kaiama not part of Nigeria? Are people living there not human? How much will it cost either the Federal government or the state government to fix roads that are not more than 60 kilometres to make life better for people? What have we done wrong to deserve this inhuman treatment?
