The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has urged the Kwara State Government to provide advanced life support ambulances for its newly remodelled General Hospitals, to take care of emergency cases.

The Deputy Corps Marshall of the FRSC, Mr. Boboye Oyeyemi gave the advise in Ilorin the Kwara State Capital while answering questions from VON Correspondent.

Mr. Oyeyemi said the corps is into partnership with various organisation transport Union and State Governments including the Kwara State Government at reducing road carnage to the bearest minimum.

According to him, the Corps recently deployed advanced life support Ambulances to some strategic locations in Kwara State.

The FRSC boss commended the efforts of the State Government for rehabilitating five general hospitals in the State, which according to him, were parts of efforts of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed at fulfilling his electioneering promises.

He stressed the need for the State Government to properly train, all the Staff of the remodelled hospitals on trauma management and urged the hospital personnel to be cautious and be humane while attending to patients.

Mr. Oyeyemi said it might be difficult for officers and men of the Corps to eradicate auto crashes, but when it occurs, his men should be able to give prompt rescue to stabilise the victims and give quick attention.

The Deputy Corps Marshal said the Corps had received maximum support from the State Government in the implementation of the Uniform licensing scheme and therefore appealed to road users to always obey traffic rules and regulations.
