Adamu Atta: He would be sorely missed, says Belgore

Date: 2014-05-01

We received with shock and sadness the passing today of Alhaji Adamu Atta, the first democratically-elected governor of (the old) Kwara State (1979-1983).

The late Alhaji Atta departed at a time our country is in dire need of such core professionals and genuine statesmen to offer their wealth of experience. One of his undying legacies and contributions to humanity was his establishment of the Obangede Specialist Hospital. He would be sorely missed.

I commiserate with the the immediate family and people and governments of Kwara and Kogi States on the death of the statesman. I pray the Almighty to bless his soul and give the family the strength to carry on his legacies.

Signed
MD Belgore SAN.
