Ilorin Hydro-Power Centre Displays Turbine
The National Centre for Hydro-power Research and Development, Ilorin, is displaying a 'pelting wheel water turbine' with a 5 kilowatts capacity (13 times combined capacity of 'I better pas my neighbour' generator) at the centenary fair at the Abuja.
The turbine can be installed in places with river or water channels.
Oladeji Akinola, the official at the pavilion, said: "We are redesigning the machine to work with over head tanks. That way we can have energy efficient houses."
