The Chairmen of Kwara Utd Supporters Club and Fans Club have dissociated themselves from an online publication that they reject the Technical Adviser of the Club, Samson Unuanel, saying that no official of the Supporters Club granted such interview.

The chairman of the Supporters Club, Oba Sulaiman said that they understand the antics of such people.”They knew we are now setting such machinery in motion that is capable of returning us next season. They are enemies of this club and they contributed to our relegation last season,” he said.

“We will not allow such thing to happen this term because we have plans in place now to checkmate such ugly incidents.

Unuanel is a quality coach we appreciate, we contributed to his staying with us because we made that known to the state government”

“We commended Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed for yielding to our request and for supporting the club Kwarans love with their hearts,” Sulaiman said.

Meanwhile, the General Manager of the club, Alhaji Haruna Maigidasanma, has said that the club would not entertain any distraction from any corner in its bid to return the team to the Premier League next season.

He was also reacting to the online publication that the club is not in support of Unuanel, saying the Afonja Warriors management is solidly behind him.

He said the story was just a distraction meant to divert the club’s attention away from the smooth take off of plans to return the club back to the Premier League.

“Let me tell you this if you don’t know, it took some high ranking stakeholders’ intervention to convince Unuanel to stay with us. We know he can do it that was why we allowed him to continue, he is a quality coach with modern experience,” he said.

Kwara United begin their campaign in the Nigeria National League with a trip to Abuja to lock horns with the Nigeria Prison on January 25.
