Kwara govt. to construct 4 comprehensive health centres
The Kwara Government said on Thursday that it would construct four comprehensive health centres in the state this year.
This is contained in the 2014 appropriation bill recently presented by Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed to the state House of Assembly.
Ahmed said in the budget that N8.4 billion would be spent on health related activities during the year.
"Recognising the importance of quality health care delivery to the people, the government will rehabilitate four health facilities to make healthcare more accessible and affordable to our people.
He said five general hospitals and two primary health care centres would be rehabilitated while four comprehensive health centres would be built in parts of the state.
The governor also said that government would establish new HIV and AIDS centres and rehabilitate two eye clinics.
He said government would also buy additional ambulances to increase their number in strategic locations across the state. (NAN)
