'PDP remains strong in Kwara' - Zulu Edun

Date: 2013-11-30

The defection of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara state and Senator Bukola Saraki to the APC has no impact on the PDP in the state, former Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Zulukarnaini Edun has said.

The  new PDP in Kwara State  earlier in the week merged  with  APC with the former Chairman, Hon. Ishola Balogun-Fulani pronouncing the PDP in the state as dead.
Speaking with newsmen in Ilorin yesterday, Edun who represented Ilorin East and West Federal constituency of Kwara state from 2003 to 2007 said PDP would still win election in 2015.

He said, “I don’t know why they should be telling people that PDP is dead in Kwara state. How possible is that? PDP is a national party that is well accepted all over the country”.

According to him, the structure left by late strongman of Kwara politics, Dr. Olusola Saraki is no more following his death.

“We are the foot soldiers of Baba. I tell you Bukola cannot win Kwara again under APC or whatever party he goes. He can never win Kwara. And Jonathan will rule this country if he decides to reconcile.
