Kwara United pay 70 percent sign-on fees

Date: 2013-08-29

The Kwara State government has continued to motivate players of the state-owned club by paying their sign on fees

The Kwara State government has released funds for the payment of 70 percent of Kwara United players' and officials' sign-on fees for the current league season.

Kwara United media officer, Olayioye Ajide said the management of the club effected the prompt payment of the sign-on fees on Tuesday.

According to Ajide, the players and the technical crew will now smile to their banks as they have vowed to justify the payment with scintillating performances and results.

"This gesture of release of fund and immediate payment of players and officials' sign-on fees portrays how the state government loves the state's darling team and we have Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed to praise for motivating the club in all ramifications," Ajide said.

The management commended the governor who has been attending to the demands of the club as manifested in the presentation of brand new coaster bus and a bus to cushion the effect of the team's weekly journeys.

The payment, in the words of management, is a fulfillment of the promises by the state government under the leadership of Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed to ensure the state darling team has all that it takes for them to win the much coveted league shield.

"We are sure to justify the confidence reposed in us. Kwara United will do everything possible to get a continental ticket at the end of the season," Ajide sounded off.
