Gov Ahmed counsels Share Muslim community
The Kwara State Governor, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed, has urged the Muslim council members of Share to emulate the good virtues and ideals of Prophet Mohammed.
Speaking through the Special Assistant on projects to the first lady of Kwara State, Dr. Ahmed Ajibola at the Eidel Maolud ceremony organized by Share council for Muslim Affairs, where prominent citizens including the General Manager of Kwara State Television, Ilorin, Alhaji Adewale Abdulfatah, Governor Ahmed urged Muslims to allow the teachings of the prophet to reflect in their ways of life.
He said this was the only way by which we could transform the society and make life more meaningful.
Chairman of the Council, Alhaji Khalifat Sulyman Abubakar Arowosaye, stressed the need for the establishment of a higher Arabic school in Share town, because “most of our children usually travel far to acquire Arabic knowledge in other towns” outside the community.
He said the council would also need operational vehicle to enable officials perform effectively.
Alhaji Arowosaye said among projects executed last year were fencing and provision of gate around the praying ground.
