NSCDC parades kidnap suspect in Kwara
Men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) yesterday in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, paraded a man, Bashiru Ishola, for allegedly kidnapping three girls.
The suspect, a drummer with a local music band, was said to have committed the crime last Friday at Oke-Kere community in Ilorin.
It was learnt that the kidnap victims are two girls from same parents, including another six-year-old girl.
The state Commandant of the Civil Defence, Yerima Gana, who paradedthe suspect, said the children were abducted at Sheikh Kamaldeem Street, Oke Kere, Ilorin.
The children, he said, took part in a free meal for breaking the ongoing Ramadan fast by a Muslim cleric in the area.
Gana said the suspect allegedly enticed the kids with soya bean cake, popularly called Beske, and a loaf of bread, before he took them to Flower Garden, about 20 kilometres from where the kids were having their meal.
The NSCDC commandant said some charms, wrapped with black and white thread were found on the suspect when he was arrested.
