Dame Patience appreciates Kwara
The First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Dame Patient Jonathan has expressed appreciation to the people and government of Kwara State for their solidarity over the death of her mother, Madam Charity Oba.
Mrs Jonathan made this known at the Presidential Villa, Abuja when Gov Ahmed paid her a condolence visit over the death of her mother.
According to the first lady, who also appreciated earlier visit by Senator Bukola Saraki and his wife, Toyin, the visit of the governor to the family signifies the love and support the people of Kwara state have for the First Family. "It's at times like this that you know your friends and admirers", the first lady said.
Earlier, the Governor AbdulFatah Ahmed who was accompanied by some members of the state executive council, told the First Family to be consoled that Madam Charity Oba lived a worthy life of emulation. He prayed God to give the family additional strength and wisdom to continue to pilot the affairs of the country.
According to Gov Ahmed, the current global security challenge calls for prayer and concerted efforts by all to sail through the trouble waters.
