The event attracted many people in the area which cut across all  spheres of the society.

In his address, the Chairman of the Peoples'  Democratic Party (PDP)  in Offa, Alh.Goke Rabiu, commended the LEAH foundation  for  the gesture  which he said has uplifted the spirit of many especially at  this  Ramadan period considering the challenges of these trying  times.

Goke also commended Mrs Ahmed for her initiative to  sponsor such charity foundation, adding that the LEAH foundation has succeeded not only in promoting a peaceful society but also being an agent of uplifting the souls of the downtrodden.

''This is an agent of a better society through the  instrumentality of a charity foundation like LEAH and their activities  have reinforced the belief by many that Her Excellency, Omolewa Ahmed is an uncommon philanthropist who is committed to the interest of the lower rungs of the society,'' Goke stated.

Earlier, the Coordinator of LEAH in Offa, Alh. AbdulKareem Abdul, popularly known as Alhaji Alhaji, in his opening remarks implored the people to support the administration of Governor AbdulFatah Ahmed to take Kwara state to the next level.

Alhaji Alhaji urged the people to educate their neighbors and friends on the need to embrace the government of Alh. Ahmed in its shared prosperity programme which has targeted many areas for strategic development.

Items distributed were rice, semovita, maize, salt and sugar. A beneficiary who spoke on behalf of others, Mrs Tililayo Yusuf, thanked Mrs Ahmed for the donation, which according to her, is a contribution to humanity, because all that benefited from the gift and their families would offer prayers to her and her pet project especially at this holy month of Ramadan.
