Kwara State Government will soon take delivery of an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) as part of its determined efforts to assist the police in combating crimes in the state. Governor Ahmed who gave the hint while receiving the new commissioner of police to the state, Agboola Oshodi Glover, stated that the on-going transformation in the Police Force in the country will engender a strong police force that can confront modern national challenges

According to the Governor, Nigeria is passing through troubled times and only a police force adequately equipped with well trained personnel could confront the challenges.

Governor Ahmed assured the new police chief that his administration would always support the police in the arduous task of confronting crime in the State.

The Governor asserted that Kwara State is a peaceful State and all stakeholders must play critical role in sustaining the peace.

In his remarks, the new Commissioner of Police, Mr Agboola Oshodi-Glover assured the Governor that the police would control crime and criminality in the state through community driven and problem solving policing.

He promised that Kwarans would be able to sleep with their two eyes closed as the police would sustain the peace in the State.
