Kwara United stranded in Akure

Kwara United is currently stranded in Akure enroute Warri for their NPFL week 8 game against Warri Wolves after the bus they are travelling in developed a mechanical fault.

The Team left Ilorin for Warri 8am this morning and is yet to reach the half-way. Team Coach Samson Unuanel sited fatigue as the main cause of their week 5 loss to Enugu rangers after the team spent 14hrs on the road from Ilorin to Enugu.
