Saraki Urge Football League Clubs to Review Sack of League Management Company
The Proprietor of Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club (ABSFC), Senator Bukola Saraki, has called on the chairman of the football league clubs to reconsider the organisation's decision to sack the League Management Company.
Senator Saraki, speaking from Abuja Tuesday, called on the chairmen to support the proposed reform by LMC as it will strengthen the Nigerian Football League and create a sustainable platform for the league to succeed.
“I speak not only as a club owner but as a lover of football that we all agree, that the present league operating over the years is not ideal and not the way forward for a league befitting a country such as ours”. Senator Saraki said. “There is need to make change that will put in place a stronger, viable football league which I believe is what the LMC is trying to do but have not fully carried the chairmen along in the process”.
The Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club Proprietor however added, that the process of reform, setting up the new league, there might be differences in procedure as well as inadequate communication but that should not mean the reform should be thrown out.
Senator Saraki advised the chairmen and the LMC to go back to full discussion, so that areas of apprehension can be fully addressed. “There should be no going back on the reform. What we need to do is improve on the process of it all.” He concluded.
