'720 Decamp to PDP in Kwara'
Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has received about 720 defectors from the opposition parties in Oro, Irepodun local government area.
At the reception ceremony held in Oro town, PDP’s State chairman, Ishola Balogun Fulani said the 72 defectors were received from the Action Congress of Nigeria(ACN) and the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and others who just ventured into partisan politics.
Fulani who led other members of the PDP State Executive Committee said the development was a boost for PDP in the future elections in the area.
Kwara PDP Secretary, Prince Yemi Afolayan said the defection marked the “final burial” of ACN and CPC in Oro kingdom.
Irepodun PDP chairman, Samuel Owolabi welcomed the defectors and urged them to brace up for effective monitoring ahead of the next elections.
